Kayden Gray and Bishop Black offer up their play session to a friend who needs some love and support. A few weeks ago, we filmed a Himerostv shoot in Amsterdam. On our first day of filming, something unexpected happened. One of the models, who had recently experienced an act of sexual violence, realized that he wasn’t ready to film. I was grateful for his ability to speak up and ask for what he needed – especially when what he needed was difficult to express. He returned home to his partner. It’s what he needed. Before he left, he made an impression on all of us. We appreciated his candor and honesty and vulnerability. He shared insights from his experience in porn and as a rope-tying expert. We were all deeply moved by his presence, and wanted to honor him in some way. And so we did honor him – and the other survivors of sexual violence – in the best way that we could. Through a video. As someone who finds myself seeking answers from science rather than spirit, I understand that some of these conversations can feel a bit obtuse or un-relatable. And yet, I’m also open to the possibility that there’s something more to our sexual energy. Our sexual energy does have power. It creates life and drives so many of our thoughts and actions. As such, the idea of directing that energy through an intention doesn’t feel impossible. In fact, this video felt real for me. It felt real to the models. And it felt real to the crew. In our hearts, we held an intention – and offered it up to someone we love. When you watch today’s video, you’re invited to share in the intention.
